Which Tom Robbins novel? I'm generally a fan, but Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas didn't do it for me. I picked up Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates at a book sale, but haven't read it yet.
Ah, never mind— it must be Villa Incognito (I found it on Amazon.com using their "Look Inside" feature). You have to admit that it's a memorable opening line.
That's from Villa Incognito. I liked Frog Pajamas and Fierce Invalids but not as much as Skinny Legs and All.
